Milestones from 1980 to 2019
Dennis Dolereit, previously COO at Grip Engineering AG, acquires the company together with Markus Wüthrich.
Expansion of the production area by moving the company from Gwatt to its present location in Uetendorf. Development and introduction of the new generation of valves in corrosion-resistant design, for efficient use with rolling emulsions.Extension of the valve type series to include the 160l/min size.
Due to the rapidly increasing demand on the world market, the activities of GRIP Engineering AG are increasingly focused on the construction and development of customized roll cooling systems
Development and expansion of the product range with valve for increased flow rates (80 l/min).
René Nussbaum, Sales Manager of Lauener Engineering AG, acquires the rolling mill division and the majority of shares in Grip Engineering AG together with his partner and CFO Reto Santschi by means of a management buyout. With Reto Santschi as partner, the two companies are merged and entered in the commercial register of the Canton of Berne as Grip Engineering AG with registered office in Thun/CH. Quickly the company develops under constant demand.
License agreement of the exclusive production and distribution rights with Lauener Engineering AG – Gwatt/CH. Extension of the product range for higher pressure stages up to 15 bars.
Change of name to GRIP Engineering AG and first entry in the commercial register of the Canton of St. Gallen. Grip Engineering AG Owner: Hans-Ulrich Schwarz
First filing of the inventor’s patent at the Federal Office of Intellectual Property “Electromagnetically controlled hydraulic nozzle valve” CH666528
Hans-Ulrich Schwarz develops the Grip roll cooling system, especially for ALCAN’s aluminum foil rolling mills. He takes over the company Grip Förderbau AG Vaduz FL
